Meet the Choral Artists

Angela Brunner
SOPRANO
Angela was born and raised in Las Vegas and has participated in Choral music from a very young age. She studied vocal music at both UNLV and BYU-Idaho. She served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Comayagüela, Honduras. After her mission service, she married her best friend since middle school, Shean. They have two wonderful children. Along with music, Angela loves to bake, read, and watch Korean Dramas and anime. She believes that singing helps our souls to resonate at God's frequency. CASN has given her the opportunity to have a community of music and to sing her testimony of Jesus Christ.

Erin Richards
SOPRANO
Erin Richards is a mother of four ginger children and one ginger dog named Weasley. Erin is married to fellow CASN member Jared Richards. Jared and Erin met while attending SUU where they both graduated with music degrees in voice. If Erin’s not singing or hanging out with her family she can be found running. She loves to run in the desert listening to her breath and the pounding of her feet. Erin is a four time marathon finisher. She has qualified and ran the Boston Marathon twice. Erin’s first season with CASN was in 2022, and she has found it to be one of her favorite parts of the week. She can’t wait to see what her future in CASN will bring.

Mariah Baker
SOPRANO
Mariah holds a music degree from Brigham Young University-Idaho, but her most cherished role is as a stay-at-home mom, raising her three children alongside her loving husband. A lifelong singer, Mariah has been part of numerous choirs over the years, with music being a constant presence in her life since before she could even speak. Her involvement with Choral Artists of Southern Nevada has been a transformative experience, reigniting a deep love and passion for music that life’s routines had dimmed.

Natalie Dickson
SOPRANO
Originally from Southern California, Natalie relocated to Las Vegas in January 2021 and joined CASN 6 months later. She feels privileged to join with others who share the same passion. “Music nourishes my soul and I am blessed to sing with such amazing talent. CASN has become my second family!” Outside of singing, Natalie is a nationally certified Pilates, personal, and group fitness trainer, and small business owner. First and foremost, Natalie is a mom to 4 incredible and talented children (1 young adult and 3 teenagers) who keep her busy and are her greatest pride and joy!

Jill Crist
SOPRANO
Jill has been a member of CASN since 2018. “Choral Artists is my seventh post-high–school choir, and I’ve loved making beautiful choral music my whole life. My husband and I have 4 sons and 2 grandsons. I am drawn to people and service events that make this world a more glorious place, so I simply love spending time at the food bank, temple, and setting up fun times with family and friends. People and projects are all generally special to me, but Choral Artists is where my favorite time is spent because of the friendships, unity, and focus on vocal mastery.”

Lindsay Denton
SOPRANO
Lindsay is a writer, a foodie, and a speech-language pathologist specializing in voice disorders. Much of her free time is spent working with her husband, and occasionally their three children, in their garden and orchard. She enjoys Broadway musicals, big creative projects, quilting, games, and gathering with friends. Her high school self would be giddy to know she's still singing in a choir.

Lisa MacKay
SOPRANO
Lisa MacKay is a proud mother of 5 and loves to sing everyday. Music and choirs have been part of her life since childhood and into college. A former CCSD choir teacher, she loves working with singers, and currently teaches mommy-and-me music classes. Lisa first joined CASN in 2009 and loves “laughing and singing with wonderful musicians who are also amazing human beings.” She hopes those who come to listen to Choral Artists will feel the love and Spirit that we all strive to express through the unique testimony of music.

Neca Calkins
SOPRANO
“My husband and I have been married for 27 years. We have 5 children and 1 son-in-law. I have sung all of my life with my family and in choirs. I love the great outdoors: hiking, camping, running, and skiing.” Neca has been a member of CASN since 2010 and loves the weekly musical challenge and spiritual uplift CASN provides.

Sabrina Gunderson
SOPRANO
Sabrina began singing right here in Southern Nevada at CCSD elementary, middle, and high schools. She attended MCC, ASU, and UNLV and graduated with a degree in Business and Psychology. She continued to study music and performed regularly in area musical theatre productions in Scottsdale, Mesa, and Gilbert, AZ. Upon returning to Nevada, she met and married her love and eternal companion, Jason, and they have 5 awesome children who keep them humbled. Sabrina currently teaches group music and piano classes out of her home studio, Sound Beginnings, Let’s Play Music, and Presto, with the occasional direction of musical theatre at Seedling Theatre Company. Sabrina has been a member of CASN since January 2021 and said, "The musicianship required to perform these beautiful pieces and the incredible talent I get to surround myself with in this group brings me such joy and musical fulfillment. I love feeling the spirit with the members of CASN and the audiences we perform for."

Adrienne Mosley
ALTO / ACCOMPANIST
Originally from Mesa, Arizona, Adrienne graduated from Brigham Young University and has enjoyed a variety of musical activities including teaching private piano and group music lessons, adjudicating piano events, and singing in and accompanying choirs. She loves reading, Thai food, and trips with her family. Together with her husband, Michael, they are the parents of seven children. A member of CASN since 2022, Adrienne says her favorite thing about the choir is the power and emotion of the music they learn together.

Chelsea Crawford
ALTO
Chelsea Crawford is a singer, pianist, and songwriter who believes music is the language of the soul. A graduate of BYU’s Media Music Studies program, she has written, produced, and recorded her own studio album, with training in composition, film scoring, and audio production. As a new CASN member, Chelsea is excited to share what she loves and connect with others from all backgrounds and experiences.
Outside of music, she finds joy in spending time, cuddling, and going on adventures with her husband and their two daughters. You can also find her practicing yoga, taking morning walks, enjoying a good audiobook, and soaking in life’s simple, beautiful moments. -

Lauri Archie

“I have been married to my husband 17 years and have lived in Las Vegas for 16 years. We have 5 children- 1 son and 4 daughters. I love being with my family playing games, traveling, and just having fun together. I love being surrounded with music and feel so blessed to be part of this wonderful choir. I love the friendly faces and making beautiful music.” Lauri joined CASN in 2022.

Laurie Steed
ALTO
Laurie has been a member of CASN since it began in 2009. A native of Las Vegas, she is an awesome mom to 6, and grandma to 8. She says she loves CASN because she loves creating beauty with good friends and feeling the spirit as they sing together. She enjoys reading, visiting and sharing meals and conversation with family and friends, watching movies, and most of all, DISNEYLAND!

April Taggart
ALTO
Music has been a constant in April’s life since her early years in Southern California. Her love of singing led her to join The Young Americans at just 14. April holds degrees from BYU and Nova Southeastern, including a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. After 38 years in public and religious education as a teacher and administrator, she recently retired. She now fills her days with the people and passions she loves most: her sweetheart, Marty and her growing family: mom of five, grandma of seven, great-grandma of two (with one more on the way), and grandma to one angel baby. She enjoys hunting, 4-wheeling, and horseback riding. Music remains a central joy, and since joining CASN in 2020, April treasures singing with the choir and the friendships she has made. “I feel blessed to sing with such an outstanding group of musicians.”

Christy Todd

Christy joined CASN at the beginning of 2024. “I am married to my best friend. We’ve been married for 10 years and have a combined family with 5 adult children. I love to travel, read, and participate in music, whether it’s singing or playing the piano. Music is an important part of my life. I’ve played the piano for most of my life and can also play the organ. My next music goal is to learn to play the guitar.” When asked what she loves most about the singing with CASN, Christy said, “It has become part of the worship of my Savior each week. I also love singing with great people!”

Erin Floyd-Smith
ALTO
Erin Floyd-Smith is a California girl at heart who traded San Diego sunshine for the desert, relocating to Henderson in January 2025. A theatre graduate of the University of California, Irvine, she brings more than 30 years of singing experience to the alto section, including school choirs, musical theatre productions (Into the Woods and Godspell among her favorites), a competitive jazz choral ensemble, the San Diego Interfaith Choir, and even a stint as a professional Christmas Caroler.
By day, Erin and her husband run a small digital marketing business together. By night (and most weekends), she can be found supporting her overachieving daughter's Scouting America adventures, chasing merit badges across the country one campout at a time. Her son is currently serving a mission in the Knoxville, Tennessee Spanish-Speaking mission, making her one very proud mama. For Erin, music is deeply personal. "Music is how I feel my Father in Heaven's presence and how I worship Him. I feel complete when I sing, and I'm incredibly happy to have found this group of equally passionate musicians." -

Nancy Porter
ALTO / ACCOMPANIST
Nancy joined CASN in 2015. Originally from Flagstaff, Arizona, she is a busy mother of six and grandmother of nine. Nancy is a versatile musician, as she accompanies for several choral organizations and music students. In her free time, she enjoys playing racquetball, reading, and being with her grandchildren. She says CASN feeds her soul, and she loves the quality of musicianship.

Chad Leavitt
TENOR
Chad Leavitt is a sixth generation Southern Nevadan. He and his wife Brittney have four children. They love living in Henderson and raising their family here. He attended UNLV for his undergraduate degree and earned an MBA at Florida International University in 2013. He is the Chief Accounting Officer for The Findlay Automotive Group. He has been singing with CASN since 2013. He started singing in high school and loves music. He says, “music is the best way I know how to commune with God.” He enjoys being surrounded by amazing musicians and has grown his talent greatly by being in this group.

Shawn has been a member of CASN since 2012. He is an accountant and a fun-loving husband (sorry ladies!) and dad of four boys. He loves being with his family and playing with… well, guns. Originally from Fargo, North Dakota, Shawn says he loves CASN because he gets to sing with such talented people!

“Towering above the rest of the choir at 6 feet 6 inches tall, you will always find me in the middle of the back row. That hasn't changed since I began singing in choirs in Junior High School right here in Las Vegas. I found CASN in January of 2024 after having been away from choral music for several years and have loved the challenge of learning new pieces each season. I am an educator and have worked in CCSD since 2002, mostly in special education programs. While I enjoy singing, my crowning achievement is my 3 kids. I love seeing them grow and learn and embrace new things.”

Brayden Meyer
BASS
Originally from Oregon, Brayden is a recent college graduate from BYU-Idaho and landed a job as a structural engineer in Las Vegas, NV within the last year. He joined CASN at the beginning of 2026 and has enjoyed the close-knit community within the choir. He first started singing in middle school and has continued throughout high school and college. In college he expanded his talents further when he wrote a love song for his now wife Emily. They are happily married with their now 1 year old son. Brayden also plays piano and the organ for his local church and enjoys listening to music in his spare time. Besides music his other hobbies include, disc golf, wakeboarding, hiking/camping, curling, board games, video games, being a dad, and spending time with his family.

“I am an educator by profession. I possess a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership. I’ve been with Clark County School District for 16 years. My first love after my family is helping students discover the world around them. After that, I love to sing and play music. I have taken organ lessons to perfect my craft in that area. I currently serve as a church organist and have for many years. I love accompanying the choir on the organ and playing music that evokes emotion and excitement. Experiencing music is an absolute joy in life. I love being part of something that is bigger than me. I have developed musical skills that I would not have been able to develop otherwise. It is a thrill to be a part of the group that never stops growing.” Chad has been a member of CASN since 2019.

Wayne was a member of CASN from 2015-2018 and returned in 2021. He is a father of 4 and grandfather of 17 and is married to Patrice, who is the most amazing woman. Raised in Provo, Utah, Wayne started his career in Minneapolis and moved to Las Vegas 35 years ago. He worked as the CEO of Clark County Credit Union and is now retired. He loves to hike, train, and play racquet sports. Wayne's favorite part of CASN is the great music and great singers!

“I began singing in my school choir in high school in 1967. I was the lead singer and actor in Pirates of Penzance in my senior year. When I graduated from high school I received a scholarship in music and sang in the concert choir in college at Monroe Louisiana. It was many years later after singing in church choirs that I was able to begin singing with a community choir in Las Vegas for several years. When the choir was disbanded I found CASN In the middle of 2021. I feel at home in this choral group and really enjoy the challenges of learning new music and singing under the direction of Marsha Borovicka.”

“I grew up in Northern Utah in a very musical family. I attended Utah State University and completed a bachelor and master’s degree in Audiology. While at the university, I joined a singing group called The Village Voices. We did two USO tours to the North Atlantic and Panama, Puerto Rico, Cuba, and the Caribbean. I then pursued a doctorate in Audiology at Kirkville College of Osteopathic Medicine. I met my wife at USU and we moved to Las Vegas. We have 2 children and 3 grandchildren. I have sung in many choirs and groups over the years, but I love the spirit of CASN. I look forward to coming to rehearsal each week and blending with everyone.”

Ryan has been a member of CASN since 2012. A native of Las Vegas, he is a high school/college educator. Ryan says being able to share in the joy of music with others is what he loves most about CASN.
